Story.

Graffiti Art Programming is a not-for-profit community youth art centre utilizing art as a tool for community, social, economic and individual growth. Located in Winnipeg, they provide programming for youth through traditional and urban art forms. The organization is dedication to to enhancing the cultural well-being of communities and neighbourhoods. As an extension of Graffiti Art Programming, the Graffiti Gallery, offers artists an opportunity to showcase their work and has filled a void in Winnipeg's arts and culture scene. More than 700 emerging artists have performed or shown their work through the gallery and has seen exhibits from high profile international artists.

Strategy.

With a logo and colour system already in place, they required an extension of their brand logo that was suitable for social media. We utilized the letter G as a prominent identifier of their organization, and created a design that reflected on our clients founding roots, graffiti art.

By focusing on curated and custom photography, we were able to tell the story of our clients art programming, events, staff and supporters throughout the fresh, clean, and bold website design. In addition, Graffiti Art Programming was in need of a stronger presence on social media. We created a strategy that would give the local organization worldly appeal, while still keeping the community knowledgeable of their programming. Facebook and Twitter profiles were refreshed with curated bold imagery and new social media logo.
